Meditation (This class is ON HOLD)
This is a very special class and is suitable for everyone. It includes pranayama, guided meditation, affirmations and gently lead meditation. This class is run by Sharryn who has been guided to share the joy of meditation with her community.
Meditation is the process of unfolding and directly experiencing your true Self as pure, free and forever.
Through the practice you can witness the ever changing, wavering mind that makes one uneasy, and identify with your Knower-space awareness as unchanging and free. Meditation allows you to spend time with your own true Self. The nature of the mind is to think, but in meditation the mind gets absorbed in its originality. And when the mind re-emerges from the meditative space, it is rejuvenated with the freshness and clarity of the original Being.
Some of this class will be focused on the mantra Amaram Hum Madhuram Hum, which means “I am immortal, I am blissful.” (The pronunciation of ram in Amaram and Madhuram is like the word “rum.”) Hum is the resonance of the eternal I, and in this mantra, Hum means the real I that is at the back of everyone’s sense of “I am.” Hum, or pure I, is common to all of humanity—everyone says “I”—and it includes all life, all action, all thought, and all time, all space, and beyond. Once the attention is focused on the Knower-space awareness, knowing that as your real Self, thoughts do not create worry. They come and go like birds flying in the sky. The emphasis is that our true nature is the Knower-space that is Amaram Hum Madhuram Hum, immortal and blissful.
